Welcome to the 2009 – 2010 Little Athletics season at Thornton and on behalf of the centre I wish you an enjoyable and successful year.

Presidents Report 2008-2009

Hello Parents and Athletes

This year we were down on numbers compared to years gone by but 138 registrations was a nice manageable number. That did not stop some fierce competition in age groups.

We as a club fared well again at zone and regional also our state reps proved they could hold their own with the best in the state.

Speedster Bailey Ritchie making the final in the 70m sprint. Young cricket AKA Lily Cains finished in the top 10 in the state in High Jump. Emily Coppins had her best performance at state with a brilliant run in the 400m gaining a bronze medal. Well done Emily, Bailey, Lily.

I would like to thank the committee for their hard work and support during the season.

2009/2010 brings a lot of challenges to the club. We need to build up again our officials roster. There will be courses during the year so hopefully we can get a few bodies to these. Also we need more coaches to come through and learn as well.

Once again thank you to all for another enjoyable year.
